Fashion Event Dotek

Fashion Event Dotek is a non-profit project run by students of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, bringing fashion together with a good cause. Its 15th edition will take place in March 2027, building on previous years with fresh creative energy and the same mission. Once again, it will give emerging fashion talent a platform to be seen, inspire and make a difference.

Throughout the year, we raise awareness of the importance of breast and testicular cancer prevention through educational talks and our support for the Aliance žen s rakovinou prsu, o. p. s. Proceeds from the charity auction support the work of this organisation, which brings together patient organisations and supports women affected by breast cancer. Together, we have raised a total of CZK 599,968 to date.

WHAT DOTEK BRINGS

PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOPS

Our workshops bring audiences closer to fashion and design through the people who help shape them. They offer space for questions, shared experiences and developing new skills. For the 14th edition, we welcomed Anežka Horová, Otec Mirec and Andrea Jandová. The 15th edition will also offer fresh perspectives on fashion and creative practice.

CHARITY AUCTION

The gala evening includes a charity auction of a specially created fashion collection and design pieces, with proceeds supporting the Aliance žen s rakovinou prsu, o. p. s. Emerging talent thus becomes part of something greater, turning creativity into tangible support. Together, we raised CZK 104,551 during the 14th edition in 2026.

FASHION SHOW

The fashion show gives emerging designers from across Europe a platform to present their collections to the public, fashion professionals and the media. Collections submitted through the Open Call are assessed by an expert jury drawn from fashion and media. Distinctive creative voices, fresh perspectives on clothing and the stories of the next generation of designers come together on one runway.

AFTERPARTY

The afterparty is an essential part of the gala evening, keeping the energy alive with music and DJ sets long after the final look leaves the runway. Last year’s line-up featured Brook from No Sleep Club, Otec Mirec from RudeBoys Radio, Kaa Glo and New Magic Media, whose mix of electronic music and original remixes brought the evening to a vibrant close.
