Fashion event dotek

Educational and professional workshops

Throughout the year, Fashion Event Dotek organizes educational workshops focused on the importance of breast and testicular cancer prevention. In recent years, workshops with healthcare professionals have mainly taken place at high schools in the Zlín region, and the project now also extends education to partner companies and other institutions.

During the March event, professional workshops are also held with prominent figures from the fashion and design industries, offering participants the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills in selected fields.

In the past, workshops have been led by personalities such as Ivona Petružálková, project manager for Czech magazines Cosmopolitan and Harper’s Bazaar, Lena Knappová, editor-in-chief of Blue Paper magazine and behind-the-scenes photographer at Paris Fashion Week, and Adéla Šponerová, journalist at Czech Television. The thirteenth edition of Fashion Event Dotek featured experts primarily in photography, PR, and fashion production. Attendees had the chance to hear from Kuba Zeman, one of the leading Czech photographers responsible, for example, for Jan Černý’s collection for the Czech Olympic team. Invitations were also accepted by Olga Burešová, founder of the Artspeak agency, and Monina Nevrlá, choreographer and fashion producer who has worked, among others, for Vogue CS.

Charity auction

An integral part of the gala evening is the charity auction of a special fashion collection and design items, with the proceeds supporting a selected nonprofit organization. For the past eight years, we have been supporting women with cancer, specifically the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer, o.p.s., which encompasses a total of 40 patient organizations. In 2025, we raised a record 161,708 CZK for the organization, bringing the total amount raised to date to 495,417 CZK.

Fashion show

The project provides an opportunity for young designers from across Europe to showcase their collections to the general public, industry professionals, and journalists. Designers are selected through the Open Call by a professional jury composed of experienced experts from the fashion industry and media. Fashion Event Dotek also collaborates with the Fashion Design studio at FMK UTB in Zlín, supporting the scene of young local talent.

The fashion show takes place each year at unique and unconventional venues within the Svit industrial complex in Zlín, where students aim to create a new identity for the space. This results in artistic installations and projections tailored to the theme of each edition.

Afterparty

The afterparty is an integral part of the gala evening, where the program continues with DJ sets and a lively atmosphere. In past editions, attendees have enjoyed performances by DJs and producers such as Kewu, Sonja, Count, máúcta, Rainer, Domizako, and Nobodylisten, who brought a mix of electronic music and original remixes.

Fragments of Dotek
Accompanying event

On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the event Fragments of Dotek took place in Zlín, symbolically held on World Breast Cancer Day. The event followed the theme of the 14th edition of Fashion Event Dotek, Fragments, which reminded us that each of us is a mosaic of joys, pains, and experiences. It also included the educational campaign Prevention by Touch, highlighting the importance of self-examination and regular check-ups, and sharing the stories of women supported by the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer, o.p.s.

The event program began with a pop-up by the Fashion Design studio, where visitors could browse original clothing pieces and designer jewelry, while also taking part in a creative workshop where they could create and take home their own fashion fragment.

The program continued with a series of panel discussions moderated by Kryštof Šimek. In the Fragments of Dotek discussion, project manager Karin Dugasová and art director Rozálie Zervanová introduced the project’s concept and identity. This was followed by the Prevention by Touch panel, which presented the idea of educational lectures at high schools and the collaboration on an awareness campaign during Pink October. Guests included Karolína Vávrová, who visits high schools throughout the year with healthcare professionals to discuss breast and testicular cancer prevention, and Eva Ševčíková, manager of the nonprofit and educational sector. The discussion block concluded with Tones of Our Identity, featuring music producer Rainer, who shared his approach to creating custom-made music and his experience collaborating with Fashion Event Dotek. The event was accompanied by a music program featuring DJs such as elli2ot, Adam Vrba, and, of course, Rainer.
