Educational lectures

Fashion Event Dotek organizes educational lectures throughout the year focused on the importance of breast and testicular cancer prevention. In recent years, lectures with healthcare professionals have taken place primarily at secondary schools in the Zlín region, and the project is currently spreading education in partner companies and other institutions.

Professional workshops

On the occasion of the March event, professional workshops with personalities from the fashion and design industry are also held, offering visitors the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills in selected sectors such as PR, photography, media or production. In the past, workshops have been led by personalities such as Lena Knappová, Adéla Šponerová, Kuba Zeman and Olga Burešová.

As part of the fourteenth year, our invitation was accepted by Anežka Horová, a graduate of FAMU, who is dedicated to the creation of fashion films, music videos, experimental films, fashion photography and music. Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in a workshop with Miroslav Janik, a presenter, DJ known as Otec Mirec, a dancer and creative director with more than fifteen years of experience in the music and event scene. Last but not least, the workshop will also be led by Andrea Jandová, founder of the Friendly Friends agency, publisher and owner of the Fashion Map media, who will share her experience from the perspective of creative and media.

Opening s Harper’s Bazaar

This year, for the first time, visitors will be presented with a two-day program. On Friday, March 20, the showroom will be opened with a silent auction, where it will be possible to bid on pieces by Czech designers. This will be followed by panel discussions under the auspices of Harper’s BAZAAR, which will be led by the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Nora Grundová. You can look forward to prominent personalities of the Czechoslovak scene who will open the topic of the role of fashion media in their professional work, how they influence them and how, on the contrary, they contribute to building their own identity as a brand. The evening will end with a musical set by DJ fralaa.

Fashion show

The project provides an opportunity for young designers from all over Europe to present their collections to the general public, professionals and journalists. Designers are selected by an expert jury within the Open Call, which consists of experienced experts from fashion practice and the media. Fashion Event Dotek also cooperates with the ateliér Design oděvu at the FMK UTB in Zlín, thereby trying to support the scene of young local talents.

The fashion show takes place every year in interesting and atypical locations within the Svit industrial complex in Zlín, where students try to create a new face. This creates art installations and projections tailored to the theme of the given year.

This year, 10 collections by a total of twelve designers will be presented on the catwalk. Through this year’s theme and their own collections, they will show us that Fragments are not only a symbol of fragility, chaos, and breakage, but on the contrary, they show strength and beauty in imperfection.

Charity auction

An integral part of the gala evening is a charity auction of a special fashion collection and design items, the proceeds of which go to the operation of a selected non-profit organization. For the last eight years, we have been supporting women with cancer, specifically the Aliance žen s rakovinou prsu, o.p.s., which covers a total of 40 patient organizations. In 2025, we managed to raise a record 161,708 CZK for the operation of the organization. The total amount raised is currently 495,417 CZK.

Afterparty

The afterparty is an essential part of the gala evening, where the program continues with musical sets and a lively atmosphere. In past years, visitors could look forward to performances by DJs and producers such as Kewu, Sonja, Count, máúcta, Rainer, Domizako and Nobodylisten.

This year, the afterparty will feature names like Suffolk, Brook from No Sleep Club, Otec Mirec from RudeBoys Radio, Kaa Glo and New Magic Media, who will bring a mix of electronic music and original remixes.
