Open Call
For designers

WHO IS THE OPEN CALL FOR?

Fashion Event Dotek annually announces an Open Call, which is intended for students and new fashion talents. This year’s designer collections reflect the theme of the 14th year, Fragments.

Students from secondary, higher vocational and university schools from the Czech Republic and other European countries can participate in the Open Call.

The selection of designers takes place on two levels. Student works from the TBU Clothing Design studio are created as part of the final assignments for each year. Collections submitted through the Open Call are assessed by a professional jury consisting of personalities from the fashion industry.

What does the expert jury look like?

Student collections submitted to the Fashion Event Dotek are evaluated annually by a professional jury composed of personalities from the Czech fashion scene. They assess not only the creative concept and originality, but also the concept and consistency with the theme of the year.

In the past, the jury has included Jan Boublík, creative and digital manager at Vogue magazine, Miroslav Romaniv, stylist and creative consultant, and Liz Ovcharenko, Executive Art Director at BeWorn and stylist.
