Fashion event dotek
About the project
We connect young designers with non-profit activities. At the same time, we strive to spread awareness and knowledge in the field of breast and testicular cancer prevention.
We provide fashion lovers with workshops led by professionals, and fashion students are given the opportunity to showcase their creations during a fashion show and a benefit auction. The proceeds from the auctioned collection go to an organization supporting women struggling with this serious illness.
Non-profit activity
Fashion Event Dotek has been cooperating for eight years with the Aliance žen s rakovinou prsu o.p.s., which includes 40 other patient organizations.
The project supports the organization through the proceeds from the auction of the special collection, which is part of the main program, and contributes annually to its operation. It also engages in educational activities in the form of lectures and workshops at high schools and during the event itself.
Fragments
Fashion Event Dotek chose the theme Fragments for its 14th year.
Wholeness is often seen as the ideal of perfection, but each of us is a mosaic of stories, emotions, chaos and unanswered questions. Perhaps it is not important to close the whole, but to discover the beauty in the process, transformation and new composition of the fragments of reality. Fragments give new meaning to the cracks, reflect the unique perspective of each of us and remind us that we are not broken, just put together differently.
Identity
An identity expressing mystery, uniqueness and diversity dominated the Zlín Svit area and the eleventh year of the Fashion Event Dotek. 12 collections by talented design students from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and England shone on the catwalk. The gala evening was followed by an afterparty, which closed the entire event.
Metamorphosis
Metamorphosis as a process of extinction and rebirth, a symbol of human transformation, determined the theme of the twelfth year, where talented designers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Italy presented their collections. The atmosphere was complemented by custom-composed music by Zlín producer Rainer.
Prologue
In its thirteenth year, the Fashion Event Dotek, with the theme Prologue, delved into the world of mysticism, rituals and the symbolism of colors. There was also a modern look at feminine power and the artistic concept of 9 collections by young designers from the Czech Republic and Denmark. The Zlín Svit complex welcomed over 800 visitors.
